We’re Entering High Schools This Spring!
The Ethics and Economics Challenge will begin in a few high schools this January. The program will introduce students to foundational moral questions relating to business and economic policy, such as “What are rights?” and “How do we know what justice requires?” Students will learn economic principles that help them answer applied questions such as “What moral obligations do businesses have?” and “Do ‘Buy American’ programs help Americans?” At the end of the semester, students will be eligible to participate in a speech competition on social or public policy, in which they can win scholarship money for college.
If you are a parent of a high school student in Vermont or New Hampshire and would like to bring this opportunity to your child’s school, let us know. Financial support will be needed to take this program to the schools – stay tuned!
